As per the latest reports, about 80 Schools in Agra will now function as English Medium. This is one of the best decision made by the Basic Shiksha Adhikari. By establishing English medium schools, students will be able to learn subjects in the foreign language.
80 Basic Education Schools to turn English Medium from April 1
Yes, you heard it right. About 80 Basic Education Schools from Agra have been selected for the English Education and they will start functioning as English Medium Schools from April 1. Here, 5 Basic Education School from each and every block of the district have been selected for the purpose.
Due to this, now students don’t need to migrate to another city or state in order to get Education in English Medium. Here, students will be able to get the education in English in their own district. After establishing English medium schools, Teachers will also communicate with students in English.
All of these English Medium Students will consist of basic facilities such as drinking water, toilet, and infrastructure. As per the reports of Agra Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA), Archana Gupta said that the recruitment of all these teachers has been going on.
Archana Gupta said, “Basic education teachers, who have studied English in their graduation, have been asked to apply for the English medium schools. We will hire five teachers for each school, of whom one will act as the principal”.
All the teachers in the area are very much excited and happy about the new initiative. Nidhi Srivastav, one of the teacher said that it would drastically change the image of basic education schools and also convince more & more parents to send their children here. Apart from this, some of the teachers also stated that the department had faced the scarcity of teachers as many teachers had declined the offer to join the English Medium Schools.
